By using Billwise (invoice-pdf-maker-app.web.app) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The service

Billwise is a free invoice, estimate, quote and receipt maker that runs in your browser, together with reference pages: templates for trades and document types and invoice-format pages for countries. An optional Pro upgrade adds workflow features. We may add, change or remove features, and we aim to keep the free tool available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Your documents are your responsibility

You decide what goes on every document you make, and you are responsible for it: the accuracy of names, addresses, amounts, dates and tax numbers, whether you may charge tax and at what rate, the numbering of your invoices, and keeping copies for as long as the law where you trade requires. The tool calculates totals from the numbers you enter; check the result before you send it. The sample line items and prices on template pages are illustrative examples, not price advice, so replace them with your own.

Tax information is general information, not tax advice

Country pages summarise tax rates and invoice requirements from official sources and show the month the facts were last checked. Rules and rates change and have exceptions that depend on your business, your customer and the goods or services sold. Treat these pages as a starting point and confirm anything that matters with the tax authority or a qualified accountant. Billwise does not provide legal, tax or accounting advice.

Your data

Documents, logos and saved clients are stored in your own browser, not on our servers (see the privacy policy). Keep your own copies of the PDFs you send: if you clear your browser data or change devices, we have no backup to restore.

Pro

Pro is not on sale yet. When it launches it will be a one-time purchase ($29 one-time) processed by Stripe, not a subscription: a personal licence that unlocks the Pro features in the browser used for the purchase, for the buyer's own business use. Joining the early-access list costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Once Pro is on sale, this applies: If Pro does not do what you need, write to us within 14 days of buying it and you get a full refund.

What Pro includes is listed on the pricing page. The free tool stays complete without Pro: unlimited PDFs, your logo and every design.

Acceptable use

Use the tool for genuine business documents. Do not use it to make fraudulent or misleading invoices or receipts, to impersonate another business, to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, probe it for vulnerabilities, or copy its pages wholesale to republish them.

Intellectual property

The site design, text and code belong to Billwise. The documents you create are yours. Wage figures on template pages come from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (public domain) and task lists from O*NET (CC BY 4.0), credited where they appear. Names of other products mentioned on comparison pages belong to their owners and are used only to describe those products.

Liability

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by errors in documents you create, by tax or legal decisions based on the reference pages, or by the loss of data stored in your browser. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
